How to get to Poland by plane – Katowice (Pyrzowice) airport or Kraków (John Paul II International Airport Kraków–Balice) airport
- Katowice (Pyrzowice) airport is probably the best choice. Our participants are encouraged to select this location keeping in mind further airport pick-ups and transfers. The airport is located ca. 115 km from the Symposium venue and ca. 40 km from Katowice. Katowice airport offers a wide range of airline connections from Poland to other countries in Europe (see a network map).
- Kraków (John Paul II International Airport Kraków–Balice) airport is located ca. 100 km from the Symposium venue and ca. 17 km from Kraków. A large number of carriers operates flights (see list of carriers). This airport is connected with a large number of locations (see regular flights map),
Door-to-door transfer (from the Katowice or Kraków airport to the Symposium venue)
For our guests, we offer free airport pick-up and transport to the Symposium venue. Depending on local traffic and the place of your arrival, the trip can take from 1.5-2.5 hrs. Please request the transfer service and provide the details of your flight (flight number, dates and hours of arrival and departure) and your mobile phone number. Once you arrive, please switch on your telephone. A few days before your arrival, we will forward your contact information to our local representative who will pick you up. If you are aware of any potential flight delays, please contact our guide. The timetable may be adjusted depending on the number of passengers and flight details.
Traveling to Szczyrk by train
- The recommended way for local participants is to travel by train to Bielsko-Biala Główna, located several kilometers far from Szczyrk. Direct trains connect Bielsko-Biała with Gdańsk, Gdynia, Warsaw, Białystok, Kraków, Katowice, Szczecin, Wrocław and many more.
